Should I delete contact records to remove internal emails?
SOLVE
Hi all,
We implemented Hubspot 4/1 but we did not include our internal email domain from the never log list. All of our internal employees now have contact records and many of their internal emails are logged in the system. I added our email domain to the never log list this morning but i'm looking for the easiest and fastest way to get that email traffic out of the system in case there is senitive information in it. Should I delete all of our internal employee's contact records, which would wipe the emails that didn't involve customers? Or is there another way to solve for this?
Would appeciate any advice or assistance, thanks in advance!
Deleting all records the emails are logged to would be one option, yes (contact records and your company record, otherwise emails might still be kept on the company record).
Alternatively, navigate to the email index page (Menu > CRM > Contacts > click blue Contacts dropdown in top left corner > change to Email).
On this email index page, you can set a filter for Associated records – and select the contacts for whom you want to see logged emails, then bulk delete them:
