Sending Playbook Log Details as a Marketing Email or Slack Notification
SOLVE
We are revamping how our Customer Engagement team sends monthly/quarterly meeting recap emails to company personnel who do not use HubSpot. (They currently use ConnectWise Marketing Groups to do this, but we are migrating the Engagement team from ConnectWise to HubSpot).
Here's how this would work in a perfect world:
team member logs a specific playbook on a company level
using a workflow, we send the information from the logged playbook to a HubSpot list (our internal stakeholders)
If not an email, we send the playbook information to a Slack Channel
I was able to do the latter with a Company-based workflow (the trigger was the Playbook log, note body contained the name of the playbook), but the body of the note that was sent to the slack channel included all of the HTML coding from the playbook and was nearly indecipherable.
Essentially, I'd just like an email or Slack notification to look as close to the note saved on the company record as possible. Am I asking too much of the system?
Something you could try is not inserting the note body in a Slack notification but setting the value of a custom rich text property to the latest note – and then placing the personalization token for that rich text property in an internal marketing email or internal email notification.
Best regards!
