Send proactive message through chat

We installed a chatlow for our SaaS platform to replace Intercom and it has been great, so far. One way we could proactively communicate important information to specific clients was by sending them a proactive chat into our platform. Is this possible? Has anybody found a workaround?

Hi @vkasoff 

 

True proactive messaging isn't an option yet in HubSpot. The closest you can get currently is by configuring the display options to preview the welcome message and/or pop open the chat pane when a condition is met.

 

From: Create a live chat / Display - customize the live chat's appearance 

 

"On the Desktop tab, select the radio button next to the preferred display behavior:

  • Pop open the welcome message as a prompt: display a preview of the welcome message above the chat widget.
  • Only show the chat launcher: only display the chat launcher so visitors have to click to open the chat window.
  • Show the welcome message then pop open the chat when a trigger is met: display a preview of the welcome message and open the chat widget when a trigger is met or when the visitor clicks on the widget, whichever comes first."
