SOS: Automated Email Triggered by Form Submission from Paid Search Source

Résolue

Dears,

Hope you are doing well!

We'd like to ask if anyone knows how to set up an automated email triggered by form submission specifically from paid search source.

We tried many times in the workflow setting of testing using that the original source is paid search and original source drilled-down 1 which is added a specific paid search campaign name. However, all failed......

The campaign URLs we used already are added UTM tags and the leads already can be tracked in Hubspot reporting which has shown from paid search and a specific campaign.

We also tried a case if we remove the specific source conditions, which means the automated email can be triggered by form submission from any sources, and it worked which proves that the marketing email itself hasn't any problems.

Looking forward to hearing from your advices

Many thanks,

Louis

@LLu0 the easiest way to do this is to create a dedicated form with dedicated landing page so that it's only used for your paid search ads. This allows you to trigger the workflow off of the form, and the page it was submitted on, preventing any non-ad traffic from flowing through.

There are more advanced ways to do it, but not with Free/Starter.

Hi @LLu0 it likely has to do with your visitors and whether they've accepted cookies, which is why the turnaround solution works (it is based on the page data not the visitor data) wherease the original source info is tied to a contact and thus requires cookie consent in most cases (depending on your policy). I would start by reviewing your cookie policy and run some tests on a page without it enabled to see if you get different results that work in your workflow, then at least you'll know for sure.

Hi Jennifer,

Thank you for your prompt response and advice.

Totally agree on your suggestion which we've been using this way as a turnaround solution.

As the turnaround solutions requires us create more landing pages that might incrase stress of the site server capacity, and also we've already been using Hubspot professional plan which we don't want to waste the features, we'd like to explore the setting in a workflow because we see that Hubspot provides Original source (paid search, organic search...etc) and original source drilled-down 1 (campaign name, etc) for users to set specific for a source.

However it seems not working where we set by using original source in the workflow. Appreciate it if you could share with us more information on that based on the mentioned problem above.

Looking forward to hearing from you

Many thanks,

Louis
