Reports by Type

I've gone through our companies product library and gave all of the items a property "type", and a numerical value to help categorize.

For some reason when creating a report from scratch, after selecting line items all the items that I have categorized by type come up as "-". After checking the product library and items, I can confirm that I have assigned them all a numerical value under type.....

I have a suspicion that it has to do with the fact that I chose a numerical value rather than a set of words to descrive these products.
