Removal of website content
SOLVE
Hi!
I am a former employee of a company that uses HubSpot for their website. It is now two months since I left the company and they will not / cannot remove my details from their website. Please help, this is affecting my job search!
HubSpot support have confirmed that the company have not paid for a long time, but that their web content cannot legally be removed? What can I do? This company is still trying to pretend that I work there.
The company will not co-operate on this at all, I have sent them details passed on by HubSpot but nothing....
This sounds like you would have to take legal action, unfortunately. I can see how HubSpot do not have the right to change content of their customers or to be an arbiter in this conflict.
Best regards

I understand how frustrating this situation must be, and I want to assure you that you’re taking the right steps by addressing it directly. HubSpot is bound by certain legal and operational constraints, which limit their ability to intervene in these cases. However, your concern is valid and important, especially if this is impacting your professional opportunities.
If the company is unwilling to cooperate, seeking legal guidance can help you navigate this situation and protect your rights. You might also consider documenting all your communication attempts with the company, as this can strengthen your case if legal action becomes necessary.
For further clarity, HubSpot’s privacy policy outlines how they handle data and their limitations. You can review Section 5, “How We Store and Secure Personal Data,” on their page here.
I hope this helps provide some direction, feel free to mark it as the solution ✔️and give it an upvote 👍! Let me know if you have further questions!
