Receive first email from customer on HubSpot

So I just integrate the email we use to contact the customers with the HubSpot CRM, and I have a little question about it: when the customers already on the CRM database, it works like a charm, we receive the emails from them and reply. BUT when a customers that is not on our CRM's database send us an email, we don't receive any notification on the CRM, so what we do? What I am doing right now is checking directly my email inbox, and when I see the sender is not on our CRM, we add them with the HubSpot plugin and then start our email conversation from the CRM, is that right? Is there any way to do it better?
