Prospecting Tool > Leads: How to optimize the automatic 'pulling-in of leads'

SOLVE

Hi

Within our line of business (Digital Healthcare) we are in contact with a bunch of different stakeholders (different jobfunctions) within each organization we work with.

The prospecting tool automatically pulls in leads based on the lifecycle stage of a contact. But it will pull in every single contact with this certain life cycle stage. (ex: a nurse of a surgeon replies on a mail, they end up in the lead-fow, but this is not a contact we need to monitor in the prospecting tool, since it's the surgeon we needs to convince.)

My question is: Is it posible to optimize the automatization of lead creation by adding other filters (job function...)

Thank You
Dieter

My name is Olivia and I an ex-HubSpotter turned HubSpot expert for Baskey the agency. Happy to help here!

As of right now, the prosecting tool can only be filtered by lifecycle stage and nothing else. That being said, since it is in BETA, that may change down the line.

For now, my recommendation would be to actually examine your lifecycle stage definitions. Technically speaking, anyone your company are setting to SQL should be a qualified lead (ie. have the right job title for you). If you had your lifecycle stages set up in such a way then the prospecting tool could pull the right contacts for you.

Have you looked into developing a robust lifecycle stage funnel to help your organisation focus on only highly qualfiied leads?

Hi Olivia,

Thx for your reply.
I think we can definitely update our lifecycle stages, we don't use this properly to make the prospecting tool work fluently. I think that will be are task number one.

I already see a few actions that we can take.

Thx for the advice!
