Product Views
SOLVE
Hi all,
Im new to Hubspot so aplogies if this is a bit simple, but Im having issues getting to grips witht he product views.
My assumption was that each view was a seperate list and you could choose which view to add a new product to when you create it, but it seems that al products can be accessed in all views?
This is quite unhelpful when we have specific pricing for specific clients and I would rather not have client names be included in product line items.
If anyone can advise on this it would be appreciated.
Hi @NLily and welcome to HubSpot Community! @PamCotton and @TBanga have already confirmed what a "view" is.
It sounds like you're wanting to have a list of products you can send someone with their specific pricing. That's more like a Quote in HubSpot. You'd start with the base pricing in your Products, and offer discounts in the Quote (or Quotes) you send the client.
That's how I understand HubSpot to work.

It's great that you're diving into product views early on. Your assumption makes sense, but in HubSpot, product views are not separate lists. Instead, they are more like filters that allow you to see different segments of your products based on specific criteria.
Hey @NLily, Welcome to HubSpot, and no need to apologize—everyone starts somewhere!
You're correct that all products can be accessed across different views in the Product Library. HubSpot's product views are essentially different ways to filter and organize your product data, rather than separate lists where products can be isolated. This means that when you create a product, it becomes part of the overall library, and any view can access it based on the filters you've set.
To our top experts @TomM2 and @danmoyle do you have any recommendations for @NLily matter?
Thank you,
Pam
