Not able to create notes with multiple attendees

Hey,

When using HubSpot's import APIs (crm/v3/imports) to create a new engagement like calls, meetings, we notice that if there are multiple contacts, it results in duplicate records in HubSpot.

 

Is there any way where we can solve it ? not to have duplicae records when there are multiple attendees to a call or meeting

Hi @ABhandari7 ,


Unfortunately, HubSpot's Import API is bound by the same restrictions as a normal import. And with a typical import, the process of importing multiple associations for the same object type requires each association to be entered on a new line. This method allows the system to use either an email or record ID to identify and create multiple associations. However, it's important to note that with notes, both the standard Import process and the Import API treat each note on a new line as a distinct entry, resulting in duplicated notes whenever they are listed separately. Due to this, you're best bet might be to use the engagements API to associate your activities.
