We're adding a newsletter signup button to our website that needs to accomplish two things simultaneously:
Add contacts to our newsletter segment/list
Enroll them in the appropriate industry-specific workflow (based on the industry they select during signup)
Our proposed setup:
The newsletter list uses an active filter that automatically adds anyone who completes the newsletter signup form
Industry workflows are triggered when new cold leads meet specific criteria (including industry selection)
Question: Will contacts automatically flow through both processes with this configuration - getting added to the newsletter list AND enrolled in the correct industry workflow when they submit the form?
Yes, assets in HubSpot don't compete. One might be faster than another, so that's something to keep in mind, but if the filters are correct, they're not blocking each other. In your case, a list and a workflow could have the same filters (form submission) and the list would populate accordingly and the workflow could be doing whatever you want it to do (branch on industry, send different welcome email, for example).
Best regards!
