New tab opens to Hubspot every time I start Chrome

New Member

This week, every time I open Chrome, it opens a new tab to the Hubspot login. This is new behavior, and I don't like it. When I am ready to go to Hubspot, I know how to do it. I don't need you cramming it down my throat. This is just another form of browser hijacking. How do I turn it off? Thank you.

Hi natcolley,

You should be able to change your settings in Chrome to prevent this.

Start by clicking on the "elipsis" in the top right corder of your Chrome window, then click "Settings."

Once you're in the Settings menu, scroll down to the bottom to the "On startup" section. If the HubSpot website shows up there, click on the "elipsis" next to it, then click "remove" and that should do the trick. You could also have Chrome open to the "Open the New tab page" on startup which is the first option in the list if you'd like.

I hope this helps.

Best regards,
