Hi there! I'm considering a career in Content Marketing and would like to ask a question! What is the difference between a career in Marketing Communications and a career in Content Marketing?
Great question, both can be considered very similar. A marketing communications manager will create, implement and steer internal and external communications programs, while a content marketer focuses on creation of valuable and helpful content, storytelling and data analysis specifically geared towards moving prospects and customers along the buyer's journey:
So the main difference would be the creation of content for potential buyers. Content marketing has a strong methodology around it. This can be a focus area of a marketing communications manager but it doesn't have to be.
Hope this helps!
