Map columns in your file to contact properties
SOLVE
New to CRM trying to set it up. In the Map Columshowboxns and having difficult tie to decide wahr to add to each one there's so many. Do I have to click on everyone. Is there a standard form to click to just add emails and all the others stuff as you go. Was looking more of a spreed sheet style. SO confused. Any idesas. Just want simple notes a tracker for lead a yes or no column. The basic for email phusps trackingone#'s company name they work for
You don't have to map all columns from your import file to HubSpot contact properties. If you're not planning to filter and segment by or report on something, you can also choose to not import columns.
Regarding a notes field, you'd have to create a custom property (type: single line text). There isn't a default property for this. In a similar fashion, you could also create a yes/no column (type: radio select). For the phone number and company name, you should find default properties called with the exact same names: Phone number and Company name.
If you notice at a later point that you do an additional column, you can update existing contacts by importing just that column and an email column. (HubSpot uses the email address as a unique identifier.)
Best regards!
