Live Chat on Separate Business Units

Our company recently aquired a buisness unit for our new brand. We have one website for each brand, and we want to have live chat on both. Is there a way to seperate chat by buisness unit?

Hi! I don't think you should have an issue as long as you set your chatflow targets for the specific page(s) you want a particular chatflow to appear on:

Give it a try and let me know what you find!

@SPoulsen It is possible to have two seperate chats on your two websites, have the two chats come into different inboxes and even have different teams managing each inbox.

Where it gets tricky is making sure that any further communication you have with the leads generated by these chats is branded as the correct business. We could easily set up a tagging system so that leads will be tagged as the brand they chatted to but it will then be on you and your team to send them content from that right brand moving forward.

It's finicky but very doable if done well 🙂

If you have a larger budget and are also using HubSpot for marketing then my suggestion would be to add Business Units feature. https://knowledge.hubspot.com/account-settings/manage-brands-with-business-unit

Should you need help to set this up without using Business Units, please do not hesitate to ask. Happy to jump on a quick call.
