Lead record st

SOLVE

Hello

We are just starting to use the automated sequences.

I would like to understand the differences between enrolling a person in a sequence from the Contact record or creating a Lead record from the contact record and then enroll the Lead in the sequence ?

In both cases, the activity (open, click...) will be tracked in the sales worspace, right?

Also, what is the basic Hubspot behavior between the Lead record stage (new, open, temptative, connected...) and the lead status on the Contact Record? Are those fields linked and automatically updated together?

Thank you for your help!

@AScheerDanton - The activity seen on the contact record RE the sequence will mirror that on the lead record, yes.

The contact property 'Lead status' is - in my opinion - a legacy property that has been superseded by the Lead stage on the Lead object, and therefore are not linked within the platform. If you are using the Leads object, I recommend disregarding the Lead status property on the contact object.
