Instant download to content after form submission

Hello,

I want to include an instant file download button for when someone submits a form through our website (Wordpress), so that they receive the email AND are able to download the content straight away.

Please can someone advise?

Hi @HFrancis7,

In the form settings, you can choose the URL that contacts should be redirected to upon form submission. You can either choose a URL of a thank you page with a CTA or link to the file. Or you can choose to send the contact directly to the file, in which case the submission opens an empty tab and starts a download.

Settings this up does not affect any email that you might've set up in addition to that.

Hi Karten,

Thank you so much for your repsonse, may I ask how I can get the file download to open in a new tab? At the minute, the URL just redirects straight to the file download, which is not ideal. I'd rather it open in a seperate tab.

@HFrancis7 I'm not aware of any forms settings which would achieve this behavior, unfortunately.

Have you considered redirecting to a thank you page which automatically starts the download instead? This is not a HubSpot feature but would be something you configure in WordPress. I think this is the superior user experience.
