If known show custom HTML

SOLVE

Hello,

This may be a basic question but I am going for it. In Marketo, they have a "if known show custom HTML" feature where if someone fills out a form and the cookie is enabled and maintainted, the form will not be displayed again (instead a custom HTML message is displayed). Does Hubspot have this feature? Is smart content the solution? What does that criteria look like?

TIA

Hi @eyockim,

You are correct, this would probably be best achieved with smart content.

It really depends on what your theme is and whether you have any custom modules, but this should work in most cases. Below is an example using the default HubSpot form module.

You would set the smart content criteria as "Contact lifecycle stage" and select all types that would be an existing contact.

Your "Default" rule would display the form like so:

Then you can set the custom rule and not have a form selected, like so:

In order to see how it would look like, you can use the "Preview" mode and select the appropriate smart rule:

Then, to replace that form with something else, you would do the same with another module, but invert the logic for the smart content - make the default rule empty and add a rule for the same contact lifecycle stages that would display the desired content. Obviously you can customize the content by breaking down rules further for each lifecycle stage as well.

Hope this helps!
