HubSpot Email Receipt from Stripe Integration Transaction (Problem)

After a successful payment is made with the HubSpot - Stripe Integration, HubSpot sends an payment receipt to the user.

Our company's branded logo in the receipt does not render correctly here:

Screenshot 2025-01-06 at 11.11.26 AM.png

As seen in the purple & black rectangle above that is supposed to be our logo.
- The logo renders correctly in every other instance within hubspot and mail.
- I can't find anywhere to edit or disable this automated receipt email from HubSpot.
 - I also tried changing the logo size and format (png, svg) and none of it worked.

Please let me know how I can fix this as it is a critical bug for us to accept payments.

Hi DModernAI,

This logo rendering issue in HubSpot Stripe receipt emails is a known limitation. Here are some things to try:

1. Check your logo file specifications. The logo should be a PNG file with a transparent background, ideally 200x50 pixels or similar aspect ratio. JPG files sometimes render incorrectly in email clients.

2. Go to Settings, then Account Defaults, then Branding, and re-upload your logo. Make sure the file size is under 1MB and the dimensions are appropriate.

3. The purple and black rectangle usually indicates the image URL is not accessible or the file format is not supported. Verify that your logo URL is publicly accessible by opening it directly in a browser.

4. Unfortunately, the HubSpot Stripe payment receipt emails use a system template that has limited customization options. You cannot fully edit these automated emails in the same way you edit marketing emails.

5. As a workaround, some users disable the HubSpot receipt emails and set up their own custom receipt emails through Stripe directly, or use a workflow with a custom email template after payment completion.

6. If none of these work, I recommend contacting HubSpot Support directly as this might be a bug specific to your account or portal settings. They can check the backend configuration.

Hope this helps you resolve the issue.

Jumping in with a bit of clarification on top of @amjadkhatri reply: HubSpot’s Stripe payment receipt is a system email with limited customization and pulls its logo from Settings → Account Defaults → Branding, so re-uploading a correctly sized PNG there is the right place to address most logo issues. That said, the receipt template itself can’t currently be fully edited or disabled like a marketing email. If you need more control over layout or content, the supported approach is to send an additional follow-up email via a workflow or rely on Stripe’s own receipt emails.
