How to log company info from "meetings"

SOLVE

Hi,

When using the "meeting module" within "Sales".

The meeting itself is registered, but not connected to company info.

I have already added "Company" in the Form - but this will not appear within the CRM-system itself.

Do I have to set up at seperate workflow to solve this issue?

TLDR; I want to log company name//Job function in the CRM when using "meetings", but it only registers the user/email.

Please assist!

Hi @TLi1,

A company name field does not mean that the contact is automatically associated with a company record. When you navigate to a contact record, do you see an associated company in the right sidebar?

The company name field is a contact property, it does not create a company record automatically, hence my question whether you have this setting enabled: https://knowledge.hubspot.com/crm-setup/automatically-create-and-associate-companies-with-contacts

Best regards!

@TLi1 When you log your meeting, you should see this:

This will associate the meeting to the desired objects (contact, company, deal, etc.).

Also, in your HubSpot settings, if you have the setting turned on (in Company) to auto-create and associate Company to Contact, any meeting form submission that includes a professional email will create and associate the company to the contact, and scheduled meetings should associate to the company object.

Hope that helps!

Hi @TLi1,

Meeting forms can capture contact properties and by default, meetings will also associate with companies, not just the contacts. You can find information about this automatic association here: https://knowledge.hubspot.com/crm-setup/associate-activities-with-records

If this is not happening, can you confirm that the contacts have an associated company? If not, can you check whether this settings is enabled? https://knowledge.hubspot.com/crm-setup/automatically-create-and-associate-companies-with-contacts

Hi Karsten and thanks for your quick reply!

I see that the domain is connected (e.g. if someone books a meeting with an email "tommy@egs.com" - egs is registrered as a primary company.) However, I have added a "Company Name" field in the meetings form that I want as the primary - not the domain itself.

Looks like this can be solved by scrolling down to "lead registration" and clicking o.k. - but this is a manual effort. I would like whatever information entered in the meetings form to be automatically added in Hubspot.
