How to improve website traffic

I am not sure I understand how rto get traffic going. I have had a web site now for a few years but no sales. My web site is set up as an informational site with links to products. I have been a fan of vaccination and of supplementation. Also I am trying to move a hearing aid that is affordable and American made. I may be handling affiliate products in the wrong way. So, how do I get traffic and then how do I get them to buy?

Perhaps if your wouldnt mind dropping the website in the post we could take a look.  There are a number of reasons why a website might not be working and guessing without looking might be an oversight.
