Was anyone able to find a solution to this? We are a nonprofit and I'm having the same issue - I need to add language to the receipt email and the customer service chat wasn't able to help much!
After I posted here Hubspot representative reached out to me and we had a conversation about the lack of functionality. There is no solution at the moment but my impression was that they were gonna look into it and improve. For my part I moved on and built a solution in Wordpress using WPforms which had its share of challenges but it did allow me to fully customize receipts and also had other advantages like getting ad content directly into WP. But of course it is missing the integration with Hubspot and the benefits that would come from having customers in the CRM.
Ok thanks! I was thikning of an email automation after their transactions, using forms, that would send an email with more info on our org and have a mention of "keep your receipt!" and cover the rest of it. Not perfect though, I hope they add the receipt customization soon!
I have not been able to find a solution, but I did chat to our Sales person who seemed to have a suggestion of an add-on that makes it possible (seems like Sales people think of different solutions to the Helpdesk). I haven't had the chance to look into it, but as soon as I do, I will post something!
We are also experiencing a similar issue with the receipt that is sent after a payment link.
It's showing contact details that need to be removed from the receipt as it's a mobile number. I can't find anywhere to edit/remove these details. Plus we need to add an ABN to comply with Australian Business rules.
But as far as I can tell the receipt email is sent from Hubspot servers and the "View Payment"-link in the email goes to a page located on Hubspot.com. There is no visual involvement from Stripe regarding how the receipt is sent and presented. My company logo in the email is located on the Hubspot servers.
I also looked inside the Stripe account that confirms that no receipt has been sent. Hubspot handles this because that is how they have set it up, evidently.
I understand that Stripe processes the payment and should perhaps also handle receipts like they do for other customers. But in this case they do not.
I have added the VAT/Tax ID in the field under Objects > Invoices but that does not work. Actually the receipt created by Hubspot for the Payment links does not look like the example invoice on the page (Setup the VAT/Tax ID number here ) which probably is because that one refers to invoices that are evidently separate from Payment Links-receipts?
So the question remains: where is the template or ability to create a proper receipt from payment links? And you gotta wonder how Hubspot could have missed adding it (seller VAT-info, addresses etc) to the receipts in the first place? 😉
Well, to comply with tax laws in the EU the VAT-number of the selling company should be on the receipt, otherwise you cant sell B2B ... As should the company address. Seems like Hubspot should correct this flaw ASAP. 🙄
Where do I find the setting for the payment confirmation email as a (hopefully) temporary work-around?
