How to Apply SEO

I have completed the SEO course here on Hubspot, but I am having trouble implementing what I have learned. For example, if I wanted a restaurant to rank Top 5 on Google, would I just enter the restaurant's name? Does anyone have any examples of how to implement SEO, whether it's on a blog, website, travel guide...etc?

There is no quick fix for ranking higher in search engine results pages – but a lot of great resources which outline the techniques:

Applying SEO is all about making your website more visible and accessible to both search engines and users. It starts with thorough keyword research to understand what your target audience is searching for. Well, learning SEO is a different thing, and implementing is a different thing. You have to make sure you have all it takes to rank your restaurant on google. Like competitor's research and topical authority...

Focus on keywords like "best [cuisine] restaurant in [city]." Optimize titles, meta tags, create quality content, build backlinks, ensure mobile-friendly design, and update Google Business Profile.

Have you checked out any resources on Topic Clusters by HubSpot? I think this would be a great place for you to start your keyword research and thinking of how you can group content pieces into clusters. 

Have you also thought of local SEO? Since you took the example of a restaurant (if that is your use case), local SEO could do you wonders!
