How do I update a clone of an email sequence without modifying the original sequence?

Just as the subject line states, I need to create duplicates of an existing sequence and modify the wording only slightly for different audiences. When I update any of my cloned sequences it updates the originals. How do I prevent this? I'm trying to avoid building the template from scratch every time.

Because these are pulled based on the actual email templates themselves you will sadly need to rework or rebuild each email. As edits to those will change the master template.
