Help with workflow trigger event

SOLVE

I am trying to trigger a workflow (image attached) that starts the workflow when a deal in the Sales Pipeline is moved to the Contract Completed stage.  Below is how I have it structured, however whenever I move a deal to that stage the triggering event is not activated.  The workflow should create a ticket associated with the contact on the deal when it is moved in the Sales Pipeline.

Help with workflow trigger event

SOLVE

Hi @RElmore,

A few things that could cause this issue:

  • The workflow is a contact-based workflow. It would not enroll a deal but a contact. Have you made sure the contact is associated to the deal?
  • Has the contact maybe been enrolled in this workflow before? If so, re-enrollment based on an associated object's properties is not possible.
  • Can you confirm that you have permissions to see all ticket records in your portal? They might be created but unassigned, and with some user permissions it's not possible to see unassigned tickets.
  • When you switched the workflow on, did you choose to enroll existing records? If so, did you move the deal before or after enabling the workflow?

In any case, in the workflow editor, can you click Details in the top left corner and then review the enrollment tab to check whether the record you're expecting to enroll shows up there?

Best regards

It was the reenrollment aspect that was stopping it.
