Help with using forms for subscriber sign ups

SOLVE

Good afternoon,

We are currently using the forms function to collect email addresses for newsletters. I have two questions:

1) Is it possible to send new subscribers an email asking them to confirm/validate their submitted email information?  We wish to prevent people signing up thrid parties to our subscription.

2) Is it possible to run a check on submitted postcodes so that we can auto populate the rest of the postal address?

Thank you

Paul

Hi @PNewton,

Yes, this functionality is called double opt-in. You can find a step-by-step instruction here: https://knowledge.hubspot.com/email/set-up-double-opt-in-for-emails

If you want recipients to confirm the information they submitted (and not just the fact that they signed up), you would use personalization tokens in your confirmation email, e.g. "Thanks for signing up! Here's the information you submitted: [personalization token for first name] [personalization token for last name]", see also here.

Regarding your second question, HubSpot doesn't support this type of real-time checking/populating.

Hope this helps!
