Re: Form Logic - Different End Messages Depending on Answers

Hi all,

I have a simple 6 step form, with 5 yes and no questions and one field for gathering a users email address.

My end goal is for something like this:

A) If users select yes to all the answers they are given a positive message and given a link to book a meeting, ideally within the form itself.

B) If users select no to any of the answers, they are given a polite "sorry this isn't for you message".

Ideally  they would receive this positive / negative message (depending on their submssion responses) inside the form, rather than being suddenly taken to new pages.

Currently I can see how to set a logic condition that if they respond "yes" to all they are redirected to a URL, but this skips the end /submit message and immediately takes them to the book meeting page, which is a bit jarring.

Basiaclly, I would like 2 options for message that are displayed once "submit" is pressed. Option A if they press yes to all, option B if they press no to any response.

Is there a way to do this?

Unfortuantely Hubspot Support believe this is only possible by redirecting people to different URLs after pressing "Submit" and there is infact no way of simply displaying a different message within the form itself after hitting submit.

I would need this too. We're currently running a promo where people need to enter a token through a form, and some of the tokens win a gift card. At the moment, participants are informed via email but it'd be a much better experience if this could bedone based on field logic.

I'm surprised this is not already a thing - how hard could this be to develop? Because you can already display/hide another field, redirect to a page, external URL, or meeting link. So why not display another thank-you message?

The workflow tool in the form creator doesn't appear to provide the options for different branches, do I need to create a workflow outside of the form tool?

Hey @RSwitonski, happy Tuesday!

In HubSpot, you can use workflows to show different thank-you messages based on responses before redirecting.

Another option is a custom-coded form with JavaScript for more control over the experience.

To our top experts, @TomM2 and @DanielSanchez do you have any recommendations for @RSwitonski matter?

Thank you,

Pam
