Ive recently joined a new company who are using hubspot as the CRM. Previously I was a proficent user of Pipedrive and would organise my deals into datasets from various sources, creating 100's of deals straight away with stage 1 in the pipeline being those companies that I hadn't yet attempted to contact. In hubspot, we are working from company lists using advanced filters to get the equivalent of a stage one list and creating a deal manually only once we establish contact with someone - it just feels clunky and not easiest nor most productive way to work. It also doesnt give you great visibility on a particular dataset from what i can establish. Is there a better way of using Hubspot functionality so that you can clearly see who we have called / attempted to call and those you havent? I feel like creating deals in bulk would be the easiest way to do this but happy to be educated on alternatives/best practice if there is functionality that enables which i am not aware of. Thanks in advance.
It sounds like the Lead object in the Prospecting workspace could be a good fit. The Lead stage is updated based on engagement with the contact and the final step of the process is qualifying the Lead to become a Deal.
Hope this helps,
