Customizing the Create Deal Form

I would like to customize the Create Deal form to be able to select products (Add line item) to include in a deal record.

 

Ideally, my reps could add products via the Create Deal form from Gmail using the HubSpot Sales Extension for Gmail.

 

Currently, I'm only able to add products from the Create Deal form (Create Deal > Add line item) on the Deals page (Sales > Deals) on the website. 

 

  1. Is there a way to accomplish this?
  2. Is there a way to "Add line item" after a deal is created?

As far as I know it is not possible to do it via gmail plug in. You may check out this tool in market place: https://ecosystem.hubspot.com/marketplace/apps/marketing/data-management/liyfe-1061429, it works like google sheet or airtanle, you can add multiple products to deal line-items on spreadsheet cell and it syncs with your HubSpot at real time. Good way to save time

Customizing the Create Deal Form

Yes, it is possible to customize the Create Deal form in HubSpot to include the ability to select products as line items. Here's how you can do it:

  1. Go to your HubSpot account and navigate to the Settings page.

  2. In the left-hand menu, select the "Objects" option, then choose "Deals".

  3. Scroll down to the "Line Items" section and click on "Customize line item properties".

  4. Click on "Add property" and create a new property for your line items. You can name it something like "Product" or "Service", and set it to be a dropdown select field.

  5. Add the products or services that you want to appear in the dropdown list as options for the new field.

  6. Save the new field and exit the customization screen.

  7. To use the new field in the Create Deal form, go to the Sales > Deals page and click on "Create Deal".

  8. The new field should now appear as an option in the form, allowing your reps to select the product or service they want to add as a line item.

As for adding line items after a deal is created, you can do this by navigating to the deal record and clicking on the "Add line item" button. This will allow you to add products or services to the deal as needed.

Do you know if the Create Deal form in the HubSpot Sales Extension for Gmail can be updated?

 

I am able to choose Line items from the Create Deal form on the Sales > Deals page. However, I am not able to from the Creat Deal form in the Gmail plug-in. Do you know if this is possible?
