Custom object association

We have a custom object called "Campus" which is associated with Companies.  I am trying to setup a Contact view tab and have a column that shows the Company for the Contact as well as the Campus that is Asscoiated with the Company they are at.  I do not have any associations setup between Contact and Campus and not sure how or if I need to do that for this?  How can I show what Campus a Contact is at based on the Company? Thanks!

As far as I know, you can only display one level of association (e.g. companies associated to contacts and the company property values), not two levels.

You would have to establish the association between the contact and the campus. There are different ways this could be achieved but it's hard to say which is the simplest one without having more context. Here are some options:

• If the "Campus" record is created via workflow, the record create action also has options for establishing associations directly

To assess which makes most sense, you would have to share more context about when the "Campus" record is created, how, why the company gets associated but not the company's contacts etc.
