Create a workflow that will force last activity update

I want to create a workflow with a trigger of:

         deal stage changed within the last 1 day

that will force the Last Activity Date property to update to today (or the time that the workflow runs).

Suggestions?

(I'm doing this because changing the Deal Stage does not update the Last Activity Date - insane.)

Hi @smk,

The Last activity date refers to the the last time a note, chat conversation, call, email, meeting, message, or task was logged for a deal.

If you want a property that automatically updates with the change of Deal stage, there is the Last modified date: the most recent date that any property on a deal was updated.

It's not possible to update the Last activity date manually. If you want a property that behaves like the Last activity date but also updates with changes in Deal stage, you would have to create a custom property which is updated by workflow whenever the Last activity date or Deal stage are changed (filter for 'is known' and enable re-enrollment for both).

My recommendation would be to use the Last modified date.
