I need to have all new contacts that are added to List A automatically also be added to List B and List C. All three lists already exist.

Hi @CFU,

If lists B and C are active lists, this can be simply achieved by adding a filter for list membership:

If your list B and C already have criteria, simply add this additional filter using the OR Add filter group at the very bottom.

Hi Karsten, thank you for those steps! I followed them to a T. Since I'm a HubSpot newbie, I'm not sure what the steps I did is doing in real world application. 😊

Does that mean List B and List C now will automatically have all of the same contacts that are added to List A? And this also means I don't need to create a workflow or do anything else?

Correct, if you followed my steps, contacts that enter list A will automatically also enter list B (and C). No need for a workflow 🙂

You can test this easily by checking any contact on list A – they will also appear on list B and C. (Sometimes this will take a few seconds and in rare cases minutes.)

If my answers helped you, please consider marking them as solutions. I'd appreciate it a lot.

Have a great day!

Contacts from one list automatically added to a different list

SOLVE

Hi there,

To automatically add contacts from List A to List B and List C, you can use HubSpot workflows:

  • Create a Workflow:

Go to Automation > Workflows > Create workflow > Start from scratch.

  • Set Enrollment Trigger:

Choose Contact-based workflow.

Set trigger: List Membership > Select List A.

Add Actions: Click + to add actions:

Add to List > Select List B.
Add to List > Select List C.

  • Turn on the Workflow:

Review and activate it.

Now, new contacts in List A will also be added to Lists B and C automatically!

Hope this helps!

Best,

RHJ

Contacts from one list automatically added to a different list

SOLVE

Hi RHJ,

Thank you! It almost worked. But I only have the option to add to a static list (under the "marketing" category in "add actions." And the List B and List C are active lists.

Do you have any suggestions? Thanks.
