Connecting Social to HubSpot

SOLVE

Hello.

We are relatively new to HS and we are being asked to reconnect our social platforms to the system.  We have a social media manager who does this, but that person has since left the company.  They also set up the initial connection.  Now, it says an ADMIN or that original person needs to connect/reconnect the social platform to the system.  Is there an easier way to do this so anyone from our social team can do that?  I am the system admin and do not have access to our social accounts (usernames/PW).  Is there certain permission I need to grant them?

Thank you.

Connecting Social to HubSpot

SOLVE

Hi @CSmidt,

There isn't anything you can do from within HubSpot here, unfortunately. Connected social media accounts will usually prompt you on a regular basis to re-connect and re-authenticate. This cannot be solved with HubSpot permissions: Someone on your team needs to be an admin of those social media pages / have the login credentials.

I've been in the same situation: You'll have to trace down the person that left the company (or someone else owning those social media accounts) and have them transfer ownership / make you an admin of those profiles.

Hope this helps!
