I set up my chat bot to where it's only supposed to pop up when prompted but it continually displays when it isn't supposed to. Tried reaching out to support but got an automated email back with outdated instructions on what to verify. Looking to see if anyone else is having this problem or if anyone has a solution.
Hi @ISylvester! Other than what the others have already said, something I would look at is your browser cache and making sure you actually clear it in between making updates to your chat settings. It is possible you make the correct changes to the settings but the behavior is not being seen because your browser is cached and still functioning off the "old" settings.
Look at doing a "clear cache and hard reset" in your browser. Try multiple other browsers with less cookies. Try incognito mode and see if there are differences in the behavior.

I can see how frustrating this can be... let's see that together!
1. Did you double-checked the target rules? 2. What about the display behavior, is all ok there? Did you check desktop and mobile behaviors? 3. Did you try in an incognito browser to see if this helps? 4. What about the availability settings? 5. It could be a question of chatbot prioritization maybe? Here is the article "Chat widget not appearing on website pages" that goes over this.

@BérangèreL nothing to add here for @ISylvester - I'd troubleshoot with the same ideas. Target rules and display behavior are what I'd look at for sure.
