We recently changed to hubspot and there a process we used before that I would like to try and replicate if possible.
I have created a workflow that will assign a task for a call from our sales rep, but in the task box, or the log a call box, i would like to have a spot where my sales rep can indicate which lead status they prospect is going to be.
For example, if he calls them, and doesn't get a hold of anyone, I want him to mark them as "Attempted to Contact", or if he finds they are unqualified, i want him to mark them as such.
Is there a way to have that option put into the task module or the call log section so he doesnt have to go to additon
Yes, you can create a Workflow triggered by the Call outcome. So, for example, if a Sales rep indicates a Call outcome as "No answer" - you can set up a Lead Status value as "Bad timing" etc.
In this case, you should use a Contact-based workflow. If you want to change a Lead Stage, you should use Lead-based workflow.
I'm not sure if that is what I am looking for. I have a workflow already created, that has a branches which assigns tasks based off the contact lead status. But as my sales rep is logging his call or notes, is there a way to put an option in that box he is working out of to change the lead status, so he doesnt have to dig into the properties each time and change it there.
