Change a property type from dropdown to single line

I want to change a property from a dropdown to a single line text so I can just add more names. Can I do that if it's not being used?

Hi @EOhayon5,

Yes, this is possible if the property is neither used in any asset (form, list etc) nor on any record. If there are already records who have a value in the dropdown property, you'll see this error when trying to change the property type:

And @EOhayon5 if it's being used in Object records like @karstenkoehler mentioned, it's pretty easy to mass-edit from the Object screen. 

Once you tap "edit," you can can choose the property: 

Then you just make the property field blank and it should clear them all. Then you can follow Karsten's instructions on changing the property. Cheers!
