Can HubSpot send or track LinkedIn DMs on any plan?

Hi all,

I’m trying to clarify the current limits of HubSpot’s LinkedIn capabilities. I’ve watched a few tutorials that show sending or logging LinkedIn messages from inside HubSpot, but when I try to connect LinkedIn, I’m pushed to upgrade to Sales Navigator and don’t see any option to send or sync DMs.

Before I set expectations with our BD team, I want to confirm:

• Can HubSpot send LinkedIn direct messages on Starter, Professional, or Enterprise?

• Is there any way to track the actual message text or replies?

• Or is manual logging the only option now for all plan levels?

Any updated guidance would be appreciated — especially if something has recently changed with LinkedIn’s API.

Send InMails from contact and company records

You can compose and send InMails directly from a HubSpot contact or company record: 

1. In your HubSpot account, navigate to your contact or company records:
   • Contacts: In your HubSpot account, navigate to CRM > Contacts.
   • Companies: In your HubSpot account, navigate to CRM > Companies.
2. Click the name of a record. 
3. In the right panel, locate the LinkedIn Sales Navigator card. 

Please note: if you install the LinkedIn Sales Navigator app after Oct. 7, 2025, you must manually add the integration card to your HubSpot records by following these steps.

1. 4. Click Send InMail.
   5. In the LinkedIn InMail pop-up box, write your message, then click Send.

You can continue to send InMail messages in HubSpot and view the entire conversation in the LinkedIn InMail pop-up box, but the conversation will not automatically save to the record's timeline. You can manually log a LinkedIn message to a contact timeline if needed.
