Campaigns in Hubspot Known Limitations

Last touch converting campaign - Does this change each time a prospect interacts with a campaign?

Example:

  1. Prospect_A comes in from linkedin through Campaign_A.

- First Touch Campaign: Campaign_A

- Last Touch Campaign: Campaign_A

  1. Prospect_A then interacts with a google ads campaign and downloads an E-Book

- First touch Campaign: Campaign_A

- Last Touch Campaign: E-Book

  1. Sales rep sets a demo with Prospect_A and then marketing sends out a marketing drip and Prospect_A downloads a case study

- First Touch Campaign: Campaign_A

- Last Touch Campaign: Case Study

Is this what I Can expect?

What is the expected output of these interactions?

Campaigns in Hubspot Known Limitations

Hi @mmetros,

The first touch and last touch for associating contacts with a campaign is measured (as defined in this article) as "First touch new contacts for a campaign are contacts whose first session on your site was associated to the campaign's assets. Last touch new contacts for a campaign are contacts whose last session on your site before their first conversion was associated to the campaign's assets."

You can expect the contact's last touch campaign to update if they are interacting with assets associated with different campaigns.

For more information on this matter, I wanted to share these resources:

1. Creating campaigns

2. Analyze your campaign

3. How to analyze your campaign

Thank you,

Jenny
