Calculating the amount of transactions over a period
lösung
Hi community,
We are a non-profit organization, and I would like to create a list of contacts based on the cumulative amount of donations (transactions) in euros they made over a given period.
For example, all the contacts who have given less than 100€ over the last year.
I finally found a way of managing it thanks to our Hubspot CSM. He adviced me to create a calculation property based on deals, and to add a condition based on the deals closed date (I created another property for that).

Hi Diana, Many thanks for your answer.
We actually already have a "donations amount" property, which is calculating the amount of donations over the whole time. My need would be to calculate this donations amount only over a defined period, for example over the last 12 months.
How are you currently calculating your "donations amount" property?
The most organized way 'd be using deals for each donation. That way you can have a record for every donation made, you can calculate donations easily for X period of time, and manage your calculated property easily.
Let me know so that we can advise you better.

Ah, I understand now. Thank you for the clarification and the details. Let's consult with our experts to see if they have ever encountered a similar case and have any suggestions for you. Hello @Lucila-Andimol, @Gilempert, @JuanGomez0818, we would like to know if you have any input on how @mflourens can achieve his objective.
I believe I have come up with an idea, but considering that it involves donations, I think the first step is to determine if you have a property that is capturing this information. If not, don't worry. I will guide you through the step-by-step process that I will take.
To start, you can create a custom property in the contact records specifically for capturing the donation amount. Next, you can set up a workflow that automatically updates this custom property with the cumulative donation value for each contact over time. This can be achieved by using a series of if/then statements and property calculations within the workflow. By doing so, you'll be able to efficiently track and manage donation information for each contact.
Once the "Donation amount" property has been populated for all contacts, you can easily create a list based on this custom property. To do this, go to the Contacts section and click on "Create list." Then, use the custom property "Donation amount" as the filter criteria, specifying the desired value range. This will allow you to generate a targeted list of contacts based on their donation amounts.
