I have some questions about the CTA buttons in email campaigns:
For an automation/workflow: should I be using the same CTA for each email? (the action item is the same, but should I set them up as different CTA buttons for tracking purposes?) This would mean some people get the CTA multiple times (if they click the first one but don't convert, for example).
I am having some formatting issues with the CTA buttons. Is it really better to use the CTA, or can I just use a Button and link it to the URL? Again, wondering about tracking here, because presumably I can still measure clicks to the button even if it's a URL, not a CTA.
If the action is the same, I would use the same CTA.
The nice thing about CTAs (at least the legacy ones) is that if you want you can filter down to where and when it was clicked - email 1, email 2, landing page a, landing page b, etc.
Plus, I always thought CTAs have stronger tracking/reporting options than the simple buttons.
In addition if you want to do customer journey reports, CTAs are an object you use in these reports, the simple buttons are not.
What formatting issues do you have? Can specify? I thought the CTA creation was always pretty straightforward and simple.

Thanks that totally makes sense! Will continue to use the same CTA for same link.
Formatting-wise, when I create the CTA in CTA builder, it looks fine (i.e. white text "Click here for quote" on orange rounded button) but then when I drop it into the email, the text will wrap around onto two lines "Click here for / quote" and sometimes the text looks blurry. I am playing around with the sizing but in this thread (admittedly from 2021) it looked like other people were having blurry issues too: Solved: HubSpot Community - Blurry CTAs in marketing emails - HubSpot Community
