I've been driving a platform migration and buildout for just over three months now, and definitely have gotten a lot out of the knowledge center & Academy materials. But since this is my first time managing a CRM, you don't know what you don't know.
Has anyone out there seen or heard of a general checklist of tasks for properly setting up the CRM, Marketing Hub, Sales Hub, etc? I've looked around on the forums somewhat, and I've found some handy best practices & tips but have yet to find a real, conclusive, "here are all the things you should check off" kind of list.
I do not know of a resource that would satisfy your request, but perhaps someone might come along who has something or even a starting point. It is a really good idea.

I have something better. This works from within HubSpot - it's an action plan (and more, a lot more). 1 for Admins 1 for End users. All the steps to setup and learn HubSpot are in here. Each step contains instructions, screenshots, a guide or video. You can check off each completed item.
And you can create your own steps, help cards, etc so you can have it your way (like Burger King).
It looks like this (again, you don't leave HubSpot) and this is what a card looks like.
You see what I'm doing there? I'm sharing this card with anyone that needs it.
Many people will recognize the underlying tech that we used to create this. You can buy it. But the magic is in the content, structure and order of it all.
HubSpot should have built this because unless you've set up a HubSpot account from the ground up 100 times like I have, it's a black box. With this system, you can DIY HubSpot without losing sleep and your sanity. 😀

CRM & Modules Starter Checklist?
SOLVE
One thing that helped us was defining our objectives early on. It’s really important to know what you want to achieve with your CRM. Then, we focused on cleaning and importing our data properly. We made sure to set up user roles and permissions so everyone knew their access levels. Connecting the CRM with other tools we use was also crucial. If you're looking for more detailed steps, checking out some guides on CRM software online can be really helpful.
That's a great idea, @Crystal_Hopper. I think that it would require a few sets of eyes, but with a public forum like this there's the chance it could turn into "death by committee" very quickly.
What if we collaborated on the start of a list offline, then threw it up on the forum once we'd exhausted our collective ideas, to see if there's anything we missed?
It's funny because I just stumbled across another "would have been good to know" item yesterday, after realizing that my company's unsubscribe link page is... broken??? Don't know how long that would have stayed that way, had I not checked a specific email open notification.
Good morning @JMartin1094! Oof! Yes, manually checking links on a routine schedule is a great addition!
I'll PM you my contact info and we'll find a space to collaborate. Anyone else reading this in the future, message us you tips, tricks, gotchas, and best practices and we'll see about adding them. Thanks!
