I was wondering about best practices for collaborating internally. For context, we have folks like me in the back office that need to collaborate/communicate with folks at the front desk.
We are trying to organize all these conversations within Hubspot. I can see that I can send an email to my colleagues, but it would be idea if there was a Slack or MS Teams type of feature within HS. Does something like this exist either built-in or as an add-on/plugin?

The best way would be to integrate HubSpot in your already existing collaboration and communication systems. Some companies rely heavily on Email, others prefer tools like Slack / MS Teams and I've seen some companies rely on Ticket based systems (Jira/Trello) for collaboration between different departments.
Within HubSpot itself, there is no synchronous collaboration (like Slack/MS Teams) or chat with team members features. You can, however, asynchronously communicate by tagging your team members while creating Notes. You can create Tasks and assign them to your team members. The only caveat is that you will need to have all your team members added to HubSpot, which can be an overkill.
We can also tag a username to a task or activity for a contact/company if we wish to alert someone from another department that an updated record has occurred.
The notification or email announcing the tag may be sufficient to acknowledge some work that has been performed or needing performance at that point in time.
