but I'm interested in using HubSpot Commerce to also manage my products and my suppliers and then allow my customers to place orders via my HubSpot site.
- I know I can kind of create suppliers using custom properties etc.
- I am uncertain whether I can link those suppliers in a one to many with my products
- I am uncertain if I can link a product to many suppliers
- I am uncertain if each supplier can have their own price for their associated products?
This stuff seems more like a POS, or even an ERP, but how cool would it be if I could do this all in HubSpot? Any ideas? On the roadmap?
This sounds like an exciting use case! In general, I'm hopeful we could offer suggestions to set this up effectively in HubSpot.
To give a relevant suggestion, would you mind walking me through an example of how you'd like what you described to work day-to-day? For example, when a purchase is made by a customer, you want XYZ to happen.
If I understand your question correctly you're essentially asking for fully featured eCommerce in HubSpot, pricing tries, past orders, user permission access to certain products, etc.
At this point, Commerce Hub doesn't provide what you would traditionally call eCommerce functionality, shopping cart, discount codes, etc. In the past HubSpot customers needing eCommerce stores and shopping functionality have had to set up separate platforms and integrate these platforms back into HubSpot. There is obvious pain with these integrations, which you may have experienced, particularly for B2B customers like you where eCommerce is part of the sales process, rather than as it is in B2C an additional model or function.
If you're looking for a solution that arguments Commerce Hub and provides eCommerce natively in HubSpot we've developed CommercePro.co which is available for the HubSpot Apps Marketplace. CommercePro is a fully featured eCommerce solution that deploys natively on HubSpot. This means customers no longer need third-party eCommerce platforms for fully commerce on HubSpot.
If you want to discuss the details of how we could solve your challenge using CommercePro I'd be happy to walk you through a demo.
You may not need to create a customer object for the suppliers. Our approach would be to use our 'Backend Admin' membership portal theme (loaded when you install CommercePro from the Apps Marketplace) in Content Hub to create a supplier portal that enables suppliers to log in and load data into a CRM products object. This information is then used to generate a dynamic product page available to end users of the businesses eCommerce Store (also development in on solution from our theme library). The Supplier contact details would be maintained in the 'Contacts' object with associations to products, sold inventory, etc, objects for automation and reporting. Hope this helps.

Hey @TBucciarelli, thank you for posting in our Community!
While HubSpot CRM allows you to manage your customers effectively, managing suppliers and products within the CRM might require some customization. Yes, you can create suppliers using custom properties, allowing you to store supplier-related information within HubSpot.
