Q: How do you automoate the close date to change automatically when you change a deal stage to deal won ??
Short A: By using Required Fields.

By requiring the close date to be entered at Closed Won, the HubSpot User closing the deal is forced to enter a date. There is no built-in HubSpot automation to force a relative close date -- e.g., 'today'.

So dumb that this isn't built in yet. Especially for Close Lost deals. Requiring a doesn't do anything if there is already a wrong expected close date.
To help with open deals, I've created a dashboard that shows me deals that have close dates in the past that aren't closed as well as a workflow that creates a task for the rep to update the close date if its in the past.
