How can I add my company registration number to the invoice template, so it shows on all invoices along the address?

Hi @SRom, yes, it would be a manual add of the snippet in the comments portion. I looked into workflows briefly and don't think it's possible to use workflows. HubSpot is working to build out API capabilities, including the commerce API, so maybe when that's available a snippet could be added automatically when an invoice is created.

 

The other option is to add the reg. # in your company name or address but this updates globally for not just invoices but things like quotes. To update, go to Settings > Account Defaults > Company name (under company information section). You also have two address lines, so you could possibly use address line one as Registration Number: 12345 and then populate the rest of your address information below it.

In Germany we also have to state our registration number ("Hadelsregisternummer" and "Zuständige Gerichtsbarkeit") on invoices for them to be valid.

Would really appreciate if we could get a custom footer field for invoices - would be an easy solution for the problem.

Hi @sn0b4ll, it's now possible to add a default comment for invoices. This may be a potential solution to put your registration number in there.

Hey @RSchweighart, thanks for your response.

 

Sadly no since this looks really unprofessional. When you are working in a B2B environment having "Comment" written in fat letters above your bank account or registration number can't be a solution in my eyes, especially when other solutions, even open source ones, are able to have a footer with that kind of information.

Hi @SRom, HubSpot provides the ability to add a tax id immediately below the address at the top of an invoice. Is this what you're after with the registration number? Here's how to add a tax id:

This is the portion of the HubSpot help article detailing the steps.

 

If that's not what you're after, you could always create a snippet with the information you want and populate it in the comments portion of the invoice; however, this would be at the bottom of the invoice.

Thanks, it’s not tax ID as that unfortunately is limited to VAT. In France
it’s a legal requirement to have your registration number on invoices. The
issue with the comments section is that (as far as I can tell) whoever
creates the invoice would have to add it manually every time?

Hi @SRom,

 

HubSpot just made some updates to the invoice setting capabilities. You can add up to three tax IDs and a default comment for each new invoice.
