Hello, I spent all day yesterday designing a website on Hub spot. It was working fine then when I tried to update or save a message popped up saying error something went wrong try refreshing. Well I did that. I also tried other browsers same issue. Customer service was no help at all. I am kind of wishing I would not have spent so much time on this if the site wont work. I also cleared my cache, disabled maleware for the time being. can anyone help? I would hate to loose all this work I did.
Most of the time, this kind of error is just a temporary glitch and resolves itself after a few hours. But I know how frustrating it can be, especially after you’ve put in so much work!
Here are a few things you can try that often help clear up this issue:
Try Incognito/Private Browsing: Sometimes, browser extensions can interfere with HubSpot’s editor. Opening your site in an incognito or private window can help rule that out.
Check Your Internet Connection: Even a brief drop in your connection can cause autosave or publishing to fail. Make sure your connection is stable.
Use a Different Device or Network: Try accessing your site from another device/browser or a different internet connection to see if the problem is local to your setup.
Reopen from the Design Tools: If you’re working on a coded file, open it fromMarketing > Files and Templates > Design Tools. For drag-and-drop pages, go toWebsite > Website Pagesand look for any autosaved drafts.
Don’t lose hope, and don’t give up on your work!
If you’re still having trouble, I recommend reaching out to HubSpot Support and asking them to escalate your case, or try using their live chat for a quicker response. If you’re on the free version, you can also post the exact error message or a screenshot here in the community. That way, community managers or other users can take a closer look and help troubleshoot more specifically.

If you're still running into the issue, could you share a screenshot of the error you're seeing? That would help us understand the problem more clearly. Also, just to confirm does the error pop up while you're working in the page editor, or does it happen when you're trying to save or publish?
Would you mind sending a screenshot of the error here?
Does it occur in the page editor?
Glad I could help. Solving HubSpot puzzles is what we do. Ernesto // GiantFocal Found this answer helpful? Marking it as the solution helps both the community and me - thanks in advance!
