Set up Auto-reply email on inbound ticket

SOLVE

Hello,

We have a "privacy@" email address where we get emails from people who are not contacts and will never be contacts. I just need a way to always send an email automatically from Hubspot confirming that we have received the email.

I tried setting up a workflow automation whenever a ticket, however, I'm seeing this "alert" that only "marketing contacts can receive this email"?

What does this mean? These are inbound emails from people who we've never seen before.

  • The alert you are seeing indicates that only contacts marked as 'marketing contacts' can receive marketing emails. Since your recipients are not contacts and will never be contacts, you can try a way around here to send a transactional email instead.
  • In the email editor, ensure your email is marked as a transactional email, which can be sent to non-marketing contacts. You may need to adjust your subscription settings or contact HubSpot support to enable transactional email capabilities.
