Service Ticket - Only show certain status options based on category

Is there a way to only show certain ticket status options based off the category of service ticket selected?
Example:
Service Ticket Category Options:
New Order Inquiry
Custom Order Inquiry
Customer Complaint
Ticket Status Options:
New Waiting on customer response
Waiting for answer internally
Entered QMS
Under Investigation
Closed
When a service ticket is entered under the Category "Customer Complaint" I would like to only show ticket status options: New, Entered QMS, Under Investigation and Closed.
