Restrict Inbox view

Good morning,

 

I am trying to restrict my user view to only their assigned tickets and conversations in their Inbox. Also I do not want my user to be able to reassign tickets or conversation to others users.

Is it possible ?

Convertsations permissions

If users are included as a team member on the inbox, they can assign and respond to  conversations as shown here. There is not a way to restrict this permission more so that users to only see conversations assigned to them or only respond but not reassign conversations.

 

Since the ability to modify inbox permissions more doesn't currently exist, you could post it in our Ideas Forum. This is a great platform for communicating feature requests to our Product Team.

 

Tickets

It is possible to edit ticket permissions so users can only see tickets assigned to them.

 

To do this, you can:

  • Slick the settings icon settings in the main navigation bar.
  • In the left sidebar menu, navigate to Users & Teams.
  • Select the user you want to edit permissions for.
  • Click the Service tab.
  • Click the dropdown menus next to the View and Edit permissions.
  • Select Owned only for View and Edit permissions.
  • Select Save.

You can restrict who can edit the Contact Owner property if you have an Enterprise subscription as shown here.
