My website won't work without /en-us/ at the end

SOLVE

I found previous posts on this (most about 2 years ago), but need an update, please. When I connected my domain (done by HubSpot), it won't work without /en-us/ at the end. (if .com, you get a 404 error). I read all the "solutions," most about language, and have tried those, including toggling off Enabling Language Specific Redirects and making sure that "use prefix in slug" are all toggled off. I still have this problem. Can someone please help give an updated answer / solution to this problem? Thank you!!

Hi @PSargent ,

This redirection issue often occurs when your domain's default language is set to "English (United States)" while language-specific redirects are active.

Here’s what to check:

  1. Default language – Go to Settings > Content > Domains & URLs, click “Edit” next to your domain, and make sure the default language is set to "No language" (not English or en-us).

  2. Primary page – Make sure your root URL (yourdomain.com) is linked to a live page, not just the language variant. Go to Settings > Content > Pages and ensure a page is assigned as the default for the root domain.

  3. Clear cache – After changes, clear your browser and HubSpot cache, or test in incognito mode.

If it still redirects to /en-us/, contact the HubSpot Support team; they may need to update the configuration on their end.

Hello @PSargent ,

To contact HubSpot Support, log in and click “Help” (top-right corner), then type “talk to support.”
From there, select “Contact Support” and choose Chat, Email, or Call depending on your preference.

If you're on a free plan, support is limited,  but if you have a Starter plan or above, you should be able to reach someone directly.

In the chat, you'll first get a response from the AI assistant. Just type “agent” in reply, and it will connect you to a real support rep who can help further.

Hope that helps!

I have done all that, but the site still forwards to /en-us/. How would you suggest I reach a member of the HubSpot support team? I’ve been trying and just keep getting forwarded to the Knowledge Base (which directs me to do what I’ve already done.) LOL. Thanks.
